Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Enforcement ~ August 18 – September 3, 2017

The Statewide DWI enforcement campaigns are designed to reduce fatalities in specific areas in Missouri having been identified with high alcohol-related crashes. Based on a selection process by the Highway Safety Division – MoDOT, select law enforcement agencies will receive an invitation and contract for participation from the Missouri Safety Center.

Youth Seat Belt Enforcement

March 15 – 31, 2017

The Youth Seat Belt Enforcement campaign is designed to reduce fatalities and encourage young drivers to buckle up. Based on a selection process by the Highway Safety Division – MoDOT, select law enforcement agencies will receive an invitation and contract for participation from the Missouri Safety Center.

Statewide Click It or Ticket Enforcement

May 22 – June 4, 2017

Statewide Click It Or Ticket enforcement campaign is designed as a positive countermeasure for occupant protection by encouraging greater public use of safety belts while operating vehicles on Missouri roadways. Based on a selection process by the Highway Safety Division – MoDOT, select law enforcement agencies will receive an invitation and contract for participation from the Missouri Safety Center (MSC).

Child Passenger Safety Enforcement

September 17 – 23, 2017

Many parents are unaware of the importance of proper use and installation of child passenger safety restraints and related laws. Through a media campaign (together with law enforcement) the public will be educated about or made aware of the issues. Information regarding the opportunity to seek assistance from technicians trained and certified in proper installation techniques will be available. Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children 1 to 13 years old in the United States.

* Overtime Enforcement grants are supported through MoDOT’s Traffic and Highway Safety Division.
